Daisy-In-Training
I don’t always ‘win’ at the parenting game, but sometimes I get something right.
My 6 year old is my Daisy Scout and my 4 year old daughter CAN’T WAIT to be a Daisy. When I am talking about scouting with my oldest daughter, my 4 year old is always asking if she can come along and when will she get to be a Daisy?
So, I bought her some fun patches and found a jean vest at Target. My husband sewed on the patches and we surprised her one morning with her “Girl Scout/Daisy In Training” vest!
She was ecstatic. And wore it all day. When my 4 year old attends scouting events with us as a tag-a-long, I’ll make sure she also gets a fun patch (which I’ll purchase myself) and she can add those to her vest.
It never hurts to get girls excited in scouting -even from an early age!
UPDATE:
With a few more fun patches……..my Daisy In Training loves to attend events as a Tag-a-Long and I purchase the fun patch for her.
